The countdown is on! I can’t believe Christmas is a week away–eeek! I’ve been rushing around to do everything that needs to be done, including making our Christmas cards. My friend Courtney from Kentucky Girl Ramblings snapped these pics on a cold Sunday morning a couple of weeks ago and I love how they turned out. Here’s what to wear for family Christmas photos.
MY OUTFIT: top // red tulle skirt c/o (similar) // heels c/o // Kendra Scott earrings c/o // Kendra Scott necklace
CHAUNCEY’S OUTFIT: sweater // jeans // shoes
KANE’S OUTFIT: sweater // button-down // bowtie // corduroys // sneaker boots
KAROLINE’S OUTFIT: bow c/o–save 10% off with code BRIGHT10 // peter pan collar top // jumper // knee socks // shoes
As you can see, we’re matchy without being too-matchy (yes, it’s a fine line to balance). You do want everyone’s outfits to compliment each other’s. Typically, the easiest way to do this is to select three colors. My go-to combo for Christmas photos is red, green, and navy or red, green, and black. You’ll want to throw someone in plaid because it is Christmas, after all. Gold accessories make everything pop and are a nice compliment to the red, green, and navy.
I hope this helps! I know taking family pictures can be so stressful, especially when you have more than one child.
Now, tomorrow, I’m doing a very rare but FUN Saturday blog post for y’all, and I’ll be back with an ugly Christmas sweater post on Monday!
