Mixing Up Your Workwear Outfits in the Winter

TGIF! Happy Friday, friends. I realized lately that I don’t share enough business casual looks around here, and that’s changing. I know that many of you, like me, are working girls and need office outfit inspiration too. And even if you’re not, you probably have meetings or events where you need something a little dressy but not suit jacket dressy. Sometimes it feels like you’re in a work when it comes to workwear in the winter. The easiest way to mix up your work wear outfits during the winter is to add a scarf.

sweater // black ankle pants // leopard print scarf // best nude heels // camera bag (similar) // sunglasses // earrings

This outfit is comprised of the most basic workwear basics–white sweater, black pants, nude heels. I’m sure you have these pieces in your closet, and maybe even wore this combo lately. While it’s pretty enough on it’s own, it’s also kinda blah. (Note: I love a good neutral as much as anyone else).

To mix it up, I added this leopard print scarf. It makes a statement, but still looks professional and put-together. Furthermore, it lends a feminine touch to the outfit. Just because you’re dressing for work doesn’t mean that your outfit has to lack personality, and I think that many of us forget that sometimes.

Do you get stuck in a rut when you’re getting dressed for work? What’s the biggest challenge you face when it comes to your workwear wardrobe?
