Happy Galentine’s Day!!!! I hope you’ll take a moment today to thank all of your galentines–the friends who are there for you through thick and thin. I’m not going to lie. I have some of the best galentines EVER and am so thankful for my tribe. And if you’re in Lexington, come out to Kendra Scott tonight to celebrate Galentine’s Day with my friend Amanda of Pardon Muah and I as we’re co-hosting a Galentine’s Day event from 5-7 p.m. tonight. You can find all the details and RSVP here (you have to RSVP to get the 15% off discount).
This is definitely a Galentine’s Day outfit, not a Valentine’s Day outfit. Chauncey was like “that’s some outfit” when he saw what I was shooting.haha It’s cute + cozy, perfect for a girls night out. The thing I love most about this outfit is the mixture of textures and shapes. You have a fuzzy, oversized shirt and a knit pencil skirt. And because I like to mix things up, I slid into my red heels to boost this casual look to the next level.
Of note, this outfit is colorblocking at it’s finest. Top and shoes are one color, skirt and accessories are another. It makes for a striking contrast that pops. That is colorblocking 101, and it works every time.
