Projecting Happiness + Optimism Through My Outfits

Let’s be honest: right now is a tough time. We are restricting from so many things that bring us joy–physically seeing our friends and loved ones, going out to eat, traveling–that it can be  really difficult to find joy and stay optimistic. I know this may sound silly, but one of the ways I do that is by wearing bright, fun outfits.

There’s so much uncertainty and fear right now, and I get it. It’s hard.  But we have to forge on through the everyday to get through this. And that can take a toil on mental health. We have to strive to find joy each day. My outfits help me to do that. How I dress often helps me put myself into a specific frame of mind, and gives others an impression of what I’m feeling.I wear bright colors and fun outfits because I want to project happiness, hope, and optimism. When people look at my outfits, I want to be a bright spot of joy that is a mood boost:)

I snagged this Lilly Pulitzer Skipper Popover in Lilly’s House during the Lilly family and friends sale last week. It had been on my wishlist for awhile, and it’s a colorful piece that makes me smile. If you have Lilly Pulitzer pieces in your closet, now’s the time to pull them out! Or any other bold or colorful pieces you have.

Hope y’all are staying safe!

Nice to meet you!
