Well, I’ve had this post sitting in my drafts for over a week now. Honestly, friends, I’ve not known what to say. Life has changed drastically in a very short amount of time. I got together with my friend Amanda from Pardon Muah to shoot these pics. We laughed and caught up, sitting in her car after we wrapped shooting. We talked about how coronavirus was impacting travel, etc., but it was otherwise like any other day. And then life changed.

Fast forward a week and a half, and life is far from normal. I had never heard the term “social distancing” before, but now it’s a part of our everyday vocabulary. Kentucky isn’t under a “shelter-in-place” order. Instead, the governor has us doing #healthyathome, where he has taken swift action and placed social restrictions as needed (have you seen this meme group???). We’re all in this together. #TeamKentucky
I can honestly say that I never expected to be going through something like this in my life, probably because I was privileged enough to grow up in the United States. But here we are. So what do you do when life isn’t normal?
When life isn’t normal, you normalize it. You keep to your routines as much as possible. You keep doing the things you love, to the extent that you can. You show courage and bravery. You be a good person and help your neighbors out, along with those less fortunate.
In keeping to my routines as much as possible, I’m going to continue blogging. I’m going to share cute outfits and everyday life, because that’s what I do around here. I’m not going to lie–I’ve struggled to write this post because I didn’t know what to say. But I’ve got to keep writing and keep sharing for my own sanity in these crazy times. I hope you enjoy this chic leopard maxi look, because I was excited to share it with you. It would be super fun to wear on a date night once all of this is over:)
Before I close out this post, I want to leave you with this: To those of you who are battling COVID-19, I pray for you. To those of you who are going through life upheavals because of this, I pray for you. And to each and every person on the front lines right now, I pray for you. Honestly, I pray for all of us. Love y’all.
