Right now, there’s so much I’m missing about “before.” I’m missing seeing my extended family and friends. I’m missing traveling. And I’m missing date nights. This month will be the first month in over a year that Chauncey and I have not had an out-of-the-house date night. Therefore, I’m sharing a date night look that I can look forward to wearing when all of this quarantining is over.

When I’m looking forward to something, I like to have some tangible that I can see. In this case, it’s a beautiful floral slip dress from Cato. It makes me feel great and is so pretty on. If you’re in between sizes, size down. I’m wearing a large here, and it’s too big for me (whereas I thought sizing would run small).
Fashion from the 90’s is still coming in hot, so I paired some white strappy heels with my slip dress. Then I matched my bag to my shoes, and added some seed bead heart earrings. Together, my dress, shoes, earrings, and bag came in at just at $100:)
I know that being in quarantine/self-isolating is really taxing. I encourage you to pick one thing you’re looking forward to and find something tangible relating to it that you can set out. Maybe it’s not date night, but a night out with friends–pick out what you’ll be wearing. Maybe it’s a trip to the beach–set your computer screen to a beach pic. It’s a reminder that this hopefully won’t last forever, and gives you something to look forward to.
What is one thing you’re looking forward to after this is over?
