Quarantine Made Me Do It: the Bike Shorts I Said I’d Never Wear [Again]

Typically, I love trying new trends. I’m usually an early adopter of whatever the latest trend is. But sometimes, I resist trends, especially when they’re tied to things in the 80’s or 90’s. . . basically, if it was something I said that I would never wear again.haha Well, I’ve lied to myself, because I’ve worn scrunchies and acid wash jeans. So what’s one more item added to the list? The latest trend I said I’d never wear again is bike shorts. Let’s just say quarantine made me do it.

neon pink boyfriend tee // black bike shorts–under $20 // Lilly Pulitzer scrunchie (almost identical) // neon pink Nike tennis shoes // sunglasses // Kendra Scott Elle earrings // Kendra Scott Presleigh necklace

Bike shorts are the latest throwback trend to make a comeback. At first, I was like, “Bike shorts?! Ew!” Then quarantine happened. I was browsing for spring clothes on American Eagle / Aerie when I kept coming across bike shorts, and decided to try some “for the house.” Well, once they came in, I loved them. I even plan to get more pairs.hahaha Quarantine made me try bike shorts, but I’m not made about it.

If you’re wondering how to style them, pair it with an oversized tee or sweatshirt. My neon tee is so bright and pretty with them, but graphic tees will look good too. You shouldn’t be overthinking it–the whole point of this look is to be comfy! This is the perfect WFH outfit that also works for your daily walk.

What throwback trends are you loving? There’s so many that are making a comeback this season.

Nice to meet you!
