Three Ways to Start Transitioning Your Summer Wardrobe into Fall

Happy Friday! Can we all just agree that 2020’s been a bust and move on to fall already?haha I’m ready for fall . . .fall weather, fall clothes, fall manis. Sadly, it’s still a bazillion degrees in Kentucky.  Here’s how you can start to transition your summer wardrobe into fall, even while it’s still hot out.

I love this outfit. It wasn’t what I intended to wear, but when it came together, I was like, “YASSSS!” [insert mental high five.haha] My top is so oversized and flowy. I gave it a half tuck, but could have done a full tuck as well. I typically don’t pair a bigger top with non-fitted bottoms, but I tried something new with these mom jeans. My colorway is sold out, but I linked the same fit in other colors, as well as a save option.

In case you didn’t notice, I’m wearing the same jewelry combo from earlier this week. Why? Because it’s just that good. I’ve been wearing these pieces with everything.  Now, let’s break it down into how I’ve started transitioning my summer wardrobe into fall in three ways.

BTW, both my top and headband are from a local boutique, Striped Pineapple. I love their trendy, affordable pieces.

1. Transition into a Fall Wardrobe: Look for breezy tops with longer sleeves.

This top has longer sleeves, but it’s paper thin. That makes it very wearable now as well as later (think with a jacket). Flowy is still in, which makes it not as warm too. You get the fall look without burning up in the heat.

2.Transition into a Fall Wardrobe: Crop Jeans

There’s no way I can wear full-length jeans right now. Opt for crop jeans options instead. Bonus if they have an interesting hemline like this pair does. And yes, mom jeans are still on trend for fall!

3.Transition into a Fall Wardrobe: Fall colors

Summer fashion, but make it fall, right? Look for summery pieces in fall colors. Sage is a BIG color going into this fall. I doubled-down on fall colors with my brown and white knot headband. You can even just add some fall-colored accessories into your summer pieces. I’ve worn this brown headband with a hot pink top and it was so cute!

These tips make transitioning your wardrobe to fall so easy! And with pumpkin spice lattes just around the corner, you’ll be ready to as well.

Nice to meet you!
