Everything You Need to Know about the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale: Where to Shop Early [Before 8 a.m.]
When I first started shopping the Lilly APS, I used to just shop the Lilly Pulitzer website at 8 am. But the last few years, I’m mostly DONE shopping by the time I’m waiting in the virtual line to enter the Lilly site. I actually wake up at 3 a.m. and shop at other retailers whose sales tend to go live at 3 a.m. EASTERN TIME (double-check me on Saks, because it could be later)! My game plan goes like this: I load my cart on all these websites, then at 3 a.m. eastern time, I hop on the websites and check my cart to see what the prices dropped on. I delete anything that’s not on sale, and checkout. If you wait until 3 a.m. to start shopping, you’re probably going to miss out on any of your picks that are really in-demand.
The cool thing about these retailers is that sometimes items/prints that wouldn’t typically be part of the After Party Sale goes on sale on these websites. You just have to keep an eye out. Check out the selection here, here, and here (use code FREESHIP for free shipping at the last retailer).
Everything You Need to Know about the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale: the Lilly Pulitzer Website
The Lilly Pulitzer website will not let everyone in right at 8 am-ish, and it sometimes gets overwhelmed from the sheer number of people trying to access it all at once. So here’s what you want to do (I’m not making any guarantees, but this is what I do): First, hop over to the website right now. Get logged in or make an account if you need to. Verify your shipping address is correct. Finally, add your current credit card information. That way you can get in and get out quickly once you’re admitted to the website. You can’t pre-load your cart on the site because they have already removed all of the sale items from their website.
The site will go down in the morning before the sale, and there will be a virtual line. Last year, I pulled up the website on one device 15 minutes before the sale and didn’t refresh it. I pulled it up on another device and did refresh. I think the one I didn’t refresh got in first, but I can’t remember for sure. So try it on two device. Now, when you do get in, you’ll want to get in and get your most-wanted items first, especially items that are in high demand and will go quickly (like kids clothing, popovers, and popular prints). When I’m doing this, I always open additional tabs in hopes that one will let me go back in and shop after I checkout, instead of waiting in the virtual line again.
Also, it’s worthy to note that Lilly has said that they will be adding items throughout the sale. Keep an eye on their social media–turn on notifications–to know when those new items hit.
Everything You Need to Know about the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale: Signature Stores
While the corporate Lilly stores had their sale this weekend, I believe the signature stores will probably still be participating on Monday and Tuesday. My local signature store is Peppermint Palm, and they ship. You can also shop them online–Peppermint Palm typically goes live earlier than the actual Lilly website.
Good luck shopping!!! I always wear some Lilly for good luck when I shop the sale:)
