Wow, September 1! How did we end up here? Over the next 2 weeks, I’ll be saying goodby to summer by sharing some last summer looks on here to make the most of the hot days we have left, and then we will hop right in to fall:) Now, y’all know that I roll bright and colorful 24/7/365, but I especially love bold looks while on vacation. When I saw this tropical toucan top from Farm Rio a Anthropologie, I fell in love. The price point made me hesitate, but I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I bought it for our anniversary trip to Charleston at the start of summer.
Farm Rio tropical toucan top (similar look) // black cutoff shorts // Kendra Scott threaded Elle earrings c/o // Kendra Scott threaded Elisa necklace c/o // Lele Sadoughi neon pink knot headband // quilted slide sandals
This top drew my eye to it for the toucan color change print, but the detail was what sucked me in. Did you notice the beaded string detail on the wrap top? Perfection. When I’m paying higher dollar for pieces, whimsical details are one of the things I look for. If you’re paying top dollar, an item should either be a statement piece or forever classic (like my bag!).
To allow my wrap top to sign, I wore a pair of black cut-off shorts for a more casual, beach vibe. Plus, the black shorts compliment to the black of the toucans in the shirt. My quilted slide sandals are trendy but also non-intrusive for a well-rounded look. Honestly, I kept the majority of my vacation looks casual because it was a more laid-back trip. It was still dressy-ish enough for dinner in downtown Charleston.
Finally, I kept my jewelry fun with some mixed media Kendra Scott pieces from their new threaded collection. It’s an updated take on some of Kendra Scott’s most classic silhouettes. This collection also comes in their gameday colors. The best part is that Kendra Scott has already kicked off their Labor Sale! You can save 20% off almost your entire purchase (some exclusions). If you’ve had your eye on a piece of Kendra Scott, this is the time to snag it.
