Happy Valentine’s Day, friends! What about that half-time performance last night?! Let me tell you, when 50 Cent dropped down… high school me lost it!
Anyways, on to today’s look. While many people think of pink and red outfit pairings for just Valentine’s Day, I truly love pink and red outfits all year round. And this makes for a perfect last-minute casual Valentine’s Day look that you can wear now and wear later.
knee length coat // neon pink waffle knit top // affordable straight leg jeans // heart knot headband // Kendra Scott lip necklace c/o // sherpa crossbody (similar) // Ugg slippers
Pink and red color combos make such a beautiful statement together, regardless of the time of year, so it’s a shame if you’re limiting them to just one time of year. While I’ve styled this look for cold weather, you could easily transition it to spring with red sandals.
Right now, though, I’m all about warmth, which is why I layered this look with my Columbia knee-length coat and Ugg slippers. Yes, I wear these Ugg slippers exclusively outside of my house, and I’ve gotten so many compliments on them! And I threw on my sherpa bag to convey the coziness of it all.
For my look, I kept it basic with a pink waffle knit top and some straight leg jeans. If you’re mid-sized like me, I’ve found that it can be tricky finding good midsize straight leg jeans—proportions really matter! This $22 pair will be a staple going into spring.
Since I’m all about a theme, I added lots of Valentine’s-specific touches with my accessories. Those can easily be swapped out for non-themed accessories to complete your look.
I hope you have fun celebrating with those you love today!
