Just like our wardrobes, sometimes we need to “refresh” our lives. That applies to blogs as well. Things were feeling a little stale around here, and I just wasn’t happy with the look of my blog. So I did what I do best and made it over. There’s a new layout, a new logo, and soon to be a new shopping page to make it easier for you to find what you’re looking for. Welcome to the “new” Bright on a Budget. Like most things in life, it’s a work in progress.☺️

I had been wanting to do a refresh around here for quite some time, and hadn’t gotten around to it. Also worth noting is that Chauncey is my tech support and typically makes the magic happens when it comes to the website. Well, about 10:30 p.m. one night last week, I decided it was time for a refresh and dove right in. I had my eye on these theme for awhile (it’s highly customizable). Once I purchased it, I decided not to wait around for Chauncey and installed it myself. I also refreshed my logo since I had done the original design anyways. I’m proud to say that so far, I’ve not broken anything that Chauncey had to fix.haha
I wanted Bright on a Budget to be more of a destination . . . I wanted a more editorial design that was easy to navigate, for better content delivery. You can now easily shop blog posts from the home page and see recent content without having to navigate forever. Now, there’s still some changes coming, including a new Shop tab that will make it easy to browse around my favorite finds. I’ll let you know once that launches.
Also, let this be a reminder that change isn’t always bad. We all need to keep evolving.
As for me, I’m on vacation this week, so tune into Instagram to see what I’m up to. I am socially distancing on vacation, and taking precautions:)
