Even though many of us are at home right now, I still enjoy getting ready most days. It’s a trick that I learned on my maternity leaves that helps my mental health. Not only do I get up and get dressed in actual clothes (yes, leggings count!), but I also usually do my makeup as well. It’s really a great boost for me, so I wanted to share this easy, everyday fall makeup look.
MAKEUP: Smashbox Photo Finish Primerizer // Tarte Foundcealer in 27N // IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer // Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil in 3.5 // Fenty Beauty Match Stix in Walnut // Pixi Summer Glow Palette in Sheer Sunshine c/o // Pixi Endless Shade Stick in Matte Cocoa c/o // Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer // Urban Decay Lash Freak mascara // Lipsense lipstick (Red Rose) + gloss
OUTFIT: striped top c/o // Kendra Scott vintage gold Margot necklace c/o // Kendra Scott Margot earrings // unicorn coin necklace
EASY, EVERYDAY FALL MAKEUP LOOK
Start by applying Smashbox Photo Finish Primerizer all over your face. You need about a dime-size amount. Wait a minute, then apply 1.5-2 pumps of the Tarte Foundcealer using your finger tips. I pump the foundation onto the back of my hand, never directly onto my face.
Next, I like to move on to my eyebrows, since they frame your face and set the tone for your entire look. Use the Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil to pencil in your brows. I like to do the bottom line of my brow first, the top line of my brow second, and then I fill them in using light, feathery strokes. After this, I apply a dab of IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer to my finger and rub it together to warm it up some before applying it to my eyelid as an eyeshadow primer. It does double-duty to clean up under my brow. I deposit any extra product under my eye and finish by running my finger down the center of my nose.
To contour, I go in with the Fenty Beauty Match Stix in Walnut to contour my face. I use it around the outside of my forehead, under my cheeks, on the sides of my nose, and around my chin. Blend it in with a more dense brush by brushing up and down, not backward and forward.
For my eyeshadow, I wanted to bring the fall vibes without being complicated. I used the top right shade of the Pixi Summer Glow Palette for my crease shade, and the top left shade for my lid. Then, I skipped my usual eyeliner (gasp!). Instead, I went in with the Pixi Endless Shade Stick in Matte Cocoa. I used it just like eyeliner on both my top and bottom lashline, but the stick gives a more diffused, smokey eye look. For my lashes, I used a couple of coats of Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer, letting it dry in-between each coat, and topped that with two coats of Urban Decay Lash Freak mascara.
I used the same shade I used for my crease on my cheek, since this is an all-over palette. I used one of the darker brown shades as a bronzer, and topped my cheeks with the middle highlight shade.
I finished the look with a bold, coral-y red fall lip shade. It draws the focus to the lips, and truly finishes the everyday fall makeup look.
Here’s a step-by-step tutorial to walk you through recreating this look.
