High Five for Friday 04.03.15

***BLOGGERS: We’re switching things up some here at the link-up, so be sure to read the note at the end of the post***

TGIF, H54F-ers!!! Caitlin at Coffee with Caitlin, Della at Della Devoted, Katie at Cup of Tea, and myself want to welcome you to the link-up and the weekend.  We made it!!!

This week’s featured blogger is Sarah from Coffee & Glitter.  Sarah used to teach pre-school, but she’s currently on hiatus from work so that she can focus on travel, her life, and personal goals.  She has 2 adorable furbabies with her boyfriend.  Along with a couple of other bloggers, she does a series called Get Fit Thursdays, where she shares her personal fitness story (GO SARAH!!!).  Last week’s H54F post includes details about the Meet and Greet Blog Hop.

Now, let’s recap the week:

1. My dad had a medical emergency on Sunday, but thankfully he pulled through–which is why this is #1 on my list of awesome things for this week.  God is so good. Anyways, that’s why I’ve been a little MIA this week, but I look forward to catching up with you all this week!  I’m behind on my blog reading, so if you have a favorite post you wrote this week, drop me a link in the comments below:)  I’d love to check it out while I’m catching up.

2. It’s finally sandal weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love cute shoes, even cold weather ones, but my toes are happy to see the light.

These are my Lilly Puliter McKim sandals that my hubby got me for Christmas,
with no prompting:)  He’s a keeper!

3. Friday was a really good mail day.  I’m still receiving prizes that I won from an Instagram giveaway, which includes this awesome Lobstah Roll scarf from Bows and Flows Boutique! I also found a Nate Berkus gold stapler on an Instagram for only $10 and it was in the mail too!!! (Psst–the stapler is on sale at Target right now too, in case you want one, but you have to “find in store”!)  Oh, and in case you were wondering–the Qdoba was delicious.  I needed comfort food and it hit the spot.

4.  On Saturday, we had a little family date. We went and devoured some pizza at Old Chicago, and then took Kane to see the Easter Bunny.  Here’s Kane’s adorable pic with the live bunny.  If you want to crack up, click here to see his pic with the Easter Bunny.  (I’m still cracking up.haha)

5. My cousin came to town with her little family in tow mid-week.  I met her out at a local restaurant called Ramsey’s, which is so good.  They serve Missy’s Pies, and I just had to have the combination pie–1/2 peanut butter pie and 1/2 brownie.  SOOOOOOO good!
