As a family of four that includes a fashion blogger and two kids, there’s always a pile of laundry to be done. Okay, several piles of laundry. Plus, it gets to be tough when you have a family of people with sensitive skin. It’s so important to find go-to laundry products you love, and a laundry hack or two–keep reading for my favorite laundry hack to skip ironing!

Seven years ago, when I was pregnant with Kane, we started using all® free clear laundry products, including all® free clear Fabric Softener and Dryer Sheets, and have been very happy with the results. Since all® free clear laundry products are 100% dye and perfume-free, they work well for my entire family’s sensitive skin needs. I like being able to buy all® free clear laundry products for the whole family to use, instead of having to buy special laundry products just for the kids, especially when they were babies.

I love how all® free clear fabric softener keeps our fabrics feeling soft and comfortable, especially our bed clothes. After using all® free clear fabric softener in the washing machine, I follow up with all® free clear dryer sheets in the dryer. For me, it’s important to use both products because dryer sheets help reduce static cling. Y’all, there is nothing more annoying than having your hair cling to your clothes and your clothes cling to your skin. Make sure that doesn’t happen by using both of these steps, especially in the winter time.

Laundry Hack to Skip Ironing

Who has time for ironing? Not me, especially in the mornings when I’m in a rush to get out the door. Here’s a laundry hack I stumbled upon over 20 years ago and still use almost every single day that you can use dryer sheets for! If you have clothes that are wrinkled, simply place them in the dryer with a dryer sheet and wet wash cloth. Turn the dryer onto a heat setting–I use the “freshen up” setting on my dryer–and leave the clothes in there for five to ten minutes depending on the fabric and amount of wrinkles.

Ta-da! Almost all the wrinkles are gone, and your clothes look great without having to iron. This laundry hack works best for no more than two to three pieces of clothes at a time. It works great on a variety of fabrics, but it typically doesn’t work well on linen.

Before trying this laundry hack, review all care instructions for the clothing item to make sure it won’t be damaged in the process (e.g., is it ok to use heat, will water damage the material, etc.).

My family is such a fan of all® laundry products. You can grab them at your local Meijer store. Just head to the laundry detergent aisle.
