Happy 4th of July!!! My red, white, and blue game is strong, so I thought I’d bring you a patriotic red, white, and blue outfit for your 4th of July festivities. The 4th of July has always been one of my favorite days, but it especially is after last year. Last year, I discovered I was pregnant with Karoline on the 4th of July!

Top: Old Navy // Skirt: Loft // Wedges: Target // Satchel: Tory Burch (tote version on sale) // Earrings: c/o Sugarfix // Sunglasses: Quay

Chauncey and I started trying for a second baby last May. I got (many) negative pregnancy tests in June. Then July rolled around. I tried not to get my hopes up. Even when I was showing some tell-tell signs, I talked myself down. July 4th was the first day I could take one of those early response tests that would potentially show a positive, so I had bought the regular +/- test and a digital one to confirm.

I had to work that day (my whole company works July 4th), so I rolled out of bed while Chauncey and Kane slept in. I peed in a cup, because I can never hit the stick itself, then dipped the test in. It didn’t show anything, so I dumped out my cup of fresh morning pee. Fast forward 3 minutes. I looked down and there was just a HINT of a line. A shadow. Was something there? Was it not? I was really regretting pouring out that cup.haha

So I stuffed the extra test and a new cup in my Speedy, grabbed a bottle of water to down, and headed into work. When I got there, I immediately went to the bathroom and took the test. IT SAID “YES”! Cue all the emotions. I was in shock and disbelief but oh so happy!!!!

I somehow waited to tell Chauncey until after I got home. I had a reveal planned, but I took a nap first, because HELLO, I was PREGNANT!haha I recorded it, so I’m thinking about uploaded it to IGTV tomorrow. . .

Anyways, about this cute outfit! I know it’s last minute, but if you need a last minute 4th of July outfit in your life, this is it. Both Old Navy and Loft do in-store pickup now, as does Target, so you can order the top, skirt, earrings, and wedges online now and pickup in store in an hour or two! The best part is everything is ON SALE!

In case you’re clumsy like me, these wedges have two thumbs up! They’re high, but I didn’t fall over while walking in them. They feel pretty steady.

Hope y’all have a great 4th with lots of fireworks and good food! I did not mean to type all of this, and wasn’t planning on telling a story today, but here we are.haha
