Retro Floral Maxi Dress

Good morning! We finally wrapped up the school year this week and I feel like I can breathe a sigh of relief. This past year has been difficult on so many different levels, but the light is at the end of the tunnel. And this retro floral maxi dress is perfect for the return to sorta-normal.

Dresses are great because they’re a grab and go type outfit. You don’t have to think about coordinating separates—it’s all in one piece. You should have at least one casual dress that’s your go-to look when you have to get out the door in a hurry. This retro floral maxi is great for that. The pattern is whimsical and eye-catching, as is the color scheme. I like the ruffle details and pattern mix, as they break up the print.

Speaking of grab and go looks, each season I always like to have one pair or shoes and a bag that I can wear with almost any outfit. This spring and summer, that’s been this quilted bag and these quilted sandals. They pop against almost any outfit, and have a refined area that finishes off your look.

Oh, and you might have noticed the butterfly clips in my hair. I still can’t believe butterfly clips are making a comeback, but here we are. When it comes to hair accessories, try to have fun. I know it’s probably out of many people’s comfort zone, but just think of them as another accessory (which they are!).
