Y’all, I am absolutely obsessed with today’s outfit! It will work for both Galentine’s Day and Valentine’s Day. Honestly, at this point, it will also work for a lot of stuff in-between.haha I’m pretty sure I spent last year’s Valentine’s Day sitting at home, so I didn’t care to splurge a little bit this year! And while this dress sold out, it just had a mini restock:)

Before I dive into chatting about this look, can we take a moment to appreciate Haircut Katie’s work on my hair? I went in for a quick toner touch-up two weeks ago at Bak 4 More, and this is the most perfect lived in color.
Now for the outfit: While I do plan to wear this beautiful sequin heart dress out for our Valentine’s Day date night this weekend, I broke it out for a Galentine’s Day event at Kayla Weber Art’s Studio this past weekend. Eek–I was so excited to get my hand at painting some mini abstract art while hanging out with my friend Courtney from Kentucky Girl Ramblings. Courtney actually shot this look for me. In classic Tif fashion, though, I went to turn on my blog camera and it was dead. I knew I had charged it, but when it wouldn’t come on I checked the battery pack. MISSING! So we used my iPhone to shoot these.
SIDE NOTE: Kayla is not only a friend, but also my favorite artist. If you’re local and still looking for a Galentine’s or Valentine’s gift, swing by her shop for lots of options.
I received many compliments on this dress at the event. It’s definitely a showstopper of an outfit if you’re looking to make a statement (which I always am). While I paired it with a black phone crossbody and black bow heels for Galentine’s, I’ll be switching things up and pairing it with red ones for my Valentine’s Day date outfit. No matter which color of accessories you select, though, be sure to add a red lippie.
As I mentioned above, this dress is an investment, but I’m banking on knocking down that cost per wear because I love it! I feel beautiful when I wear it, and it makes me smile. While I’m all about budget items, some pieces are worth the investment.
I also shot a casual look for Valentine’s Day. I’m hoping to get that up ASAP as it should give you an idea that you can pull last minute from your own closet.
