Happy Friday, friends! Earlier this week, I shared how to casually style a white button-down shirt. For today’s Wardrobe Re-Wear wrap-up, I’m sharing an updated take on a white button-down for the office. White button-downs have been a workwear staple for years, and at this point, can feel very tired. But like a white t-shirt, white button-downs will never go out of style.

This summer, make sure you have a boyfriend-fit white boyfriend button-down shirt in your closet. The updated silhouette feels much more fresh and relaxed, which is in line with the whole vibe of 2021. You want to keep the rest of your outfit fresh as well–ditch the black pants and closed-toe dress shoes. And don’t forget to roll up those sleeves a couple of cuffs.
Here, I paired my white button-down with mint wide leg crop pants. The mint color is a breath of fresh air for workwear, and the wide leg is on trend. To keep it office friendly, tuck in your button-down and add a skinny belt. Add some additional color with some bright statement earrings, like these Kendra Scott Tessa drop earrings, but keep your necklace(s) simple. Here, I’m wearing a multi-strand gold necklace that is still dainty.
You’ll want to finish the outfit off with some fun heeled sandals in a neutral color. My raffia strap heels won’t raise a lot of brows since they’re in a neutral shade, but the raffia braided detail give the outfit a little something extra that contributes to the overall look.
