FUN FACT: I was born on Election Day 1986. I’ve always said that must be why I’m so opinionated. This year, my birthday falls the day after Election Day. I don’t think we’ll even know the results of the election by then.
PSA: The 2020 U.S. Presidential Election is maybe the most important of our lifetime, so here’s your reminder: GO VOTE!

Y’all, seriously, go vote. Early voting is now open in many states, including Kentucky. It’s imperative that people vote early where they can, as it will keep down the lines on Election Day. For more information on voting where you live, start by checking out vote.org. Then, verify any information you find by your state’s website (here is Kentucky’s) just to make sure the information you’re receiving is the most up to date.
Chauncey and I requested absentee ballots for this election. We will be dropping them off at a ballot drop sometime this week. I take my civic duty to vote very seriously, and hope you do too!
Now, I wanted to touch on my Election Day outfit. How cute is this Elle Woods 2020 tee?! If I were to run for a political office, I would TOTALLY have a pink campaign, and so would Elle!
The real statement maker in this outfit, though, is my carpenter jeans! Show of hands–how many of you wore these back in the day? I’m pretty sure the last time I pulled on a pair was circa 1999. Someone posted these on the For the Love of Target Facebook page, and I took it as a personal challenge to see if I could style them. Oh, and FYI, these are evidently called “utility jeans” now.haha
My one complaint about wide leg jeans is that sometimes you lose your shape in them. Combat this by pair them with a heel or wedge, which elongates your form.
Now, GO VOTE!!!
